Human Practice Foundation
The Human Practice Foundation (HPF) are committed to raising communities out of poverty starting with education. To date, this organisation has worked in Nepal, Kenya and Denmark. The interventions are built on a proprietary Child Empowerment Model developed with Mckinsey & Company focused on putting the child at the center of interventions. HPF focuses on delivering measurable impact locally and tracking the progress on educational, social and economic parameters.
The Marandi Foundation is contributing £80,000 to construct additional classrooms and provide educational facilities for Tappu Devi School in Nepal. The additional 8-9 classrooms will address the current shortage of classroom space and accommodate the increasing number of students. In addition, HPF will undertake a renovation of the existing 16 classrooms which are in poor condition and renovate the existing toilet facilities. Additional educational equipment such as textbooks, laboratory equipment, library materials and computer facilities will also be provided. All this work will contribute to a safe and comfortable learning environment for students and teachers and most importantly ensure the students of Tappu know that they are supported in their educational endeavours which can be lifechanging.

Centrepoint
In 2021 the Marandi Foundation made a commitment of £1m to support four strands of work within Centrepoint:

Refugee Bursary Programme – providing bursary grants to young refugees who need additional support to assist them in achieving their education, training or employment opportunities. In addition, bursaries will be awarded to support young people with legal issues, language barriers, locating family members abroad or other challenges that this group often face.
Apprenticeship Academy – The development of The Centrepoint Apprenticeship Academy to support young people with a diverse number of vocational routes for them to explore. These will include fundraising, marketing and communications, policy and research, finance, HR, IT, housing management, health, volunteering and maintenance.
App and Web Portal – The development of a platform that addresses user needs to deliver education, training and employment support to Centrepoint’s clients. It is anticipated that the users will be educators, employers and young people and will ensure a joined up system to support young people on their journey into work.
